SUPPER ON SCOTT

Preparations for Supper on Scott provided by First Presbyterian Church are almost complete.  Thanks to all the raised hands and voices as we prepare to feed our community.

An update for anyone not informed.  The fourth Monday of every month the Salvation Army provides food for those in need in our community.  Being “in need” can be anything from being homeless, short on cash, single parents, aging adults, etc., and can even be someone like you and me.  There is no judgement – just food for your body and soul.

This monthly meal has been provided since August 2022 starting with 200 plates of food to needs now of over 600 plates.  FPC is preparing 650 plates and that takes a lot of volunteers.  See meal menu and volunteer lists below – still need some pound cake volunteers and though our lists look full – please come – join us as we work to serve…

Menu:  Ham, Hash Brown Potato Casserole, Green Beans, rolls and Pound Cake.

Sunday, April 21st 1:00 p.m – Food Prep begins – Volunteers:  Joe Fisher, Susan Shiver, Joan Beers, Kimm Powell, Marlene Free, Kathy Bryan, Laura Paltin, Deena Harrell, Nicole Lee.

NOTE:  We need 47 pound cakes – 14 slices each to reach the 650 needed and still need another 15 cakes (many of our volunteers are doing more than one cake).  Please respond if you can help provide a cake.  Volunteers so far:  Patsy Gibbs, Evan Brock (per Mandie), Sonya Elkins, Deena Harrell, Kimm Powell, Nicole Lee, Kathy Bryan, Marlene Free, Virginia Smith, Madeline Hembree, and Ann R.
